I think that is possible with node.js
Oh I didn't know that, thanks
No Problems. Documentation
but could we be able to make java script plugins when its doen
You could do that if they implement rhino (blocklauncher uses that too). But what's wrong with java?
i dont know it
Java creates probably some of the best server side software.
no C++ does I was planning on make a mcpe server with C++ wich can hold php and C++ and js plugins lol
You can have multiple languages for plugins supported in a Java server too.
I don't really see the point in making a server software support other languages. If you are not willing to learn a new language, you may not be that committed Most languages are similar and plus, the majority of making plugins is knowing the API
Yeah, like Glitch said, I don't see a point. The server software is good enough how it is, though Java may be faster, we're still going to get an amount on lag.
@jython I bought vps for testing server
Nice! I wish I could contribute more but I don't have much time now
I would think the people who created pocketmine are very smart and thought all this through. I dont know maybe I am wrong??
I dont get the trend with Java for server side software in this particular case. PHP is a lot more felixible and "Put that anywhere" for inexperienced programs, sure it has a lower standard of quality compared to Java since it really can be used by anyone. But that gives people more time to develop within it, improving their own standards. For example out of 1000 websites, PHP had a 86% adoption rate from its 42% In just two years taking java's crown. Why just follow the traditional way for using java for everything minecraft? I think shoghicp did a great thing with using PHP as pocket mines base language.
But both have their flaws and pro's but this is my opinion.
*Gets ready for counter-argument*
I honestly hate PHP syntax. It is ok but meh.
Works amazing though!
It's the opposite for me, but anyway.
hey how about pocketbukkit??
